He is known for his comprehensive approach to evaluation and treatment, taking biological, psychological, social and cultural details into account as he gets to know his patients. Dr. Garcia received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Rice University and his MD from The University of Texas Medical Branch. After completing his internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and residency in General Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern, Dr. Garcia established private practice in Alabama and was a Fellow in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists for two years. Dr. Floreani obtained her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She remained at the university to work in the Department of Neuroscience as a researcher. Her passion for neuroscience and research led her to pursue a combined MD, PhD degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she remained for residency in General Psychiatry. Following her residency, Dr. Floreani has practiced forensic psychiatry, conducting evaluations of fitness, sanity, and ability to understand Miranda rights for the Circuit Court of Cook County and testifying to her findings. Dr. Floreani has authored and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications in the area of neuroscience and has been involved in clinical research since joining the practice in June 2019.

He worked as a caseworker and crisis counselor for the Travis County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center for eight years before moving to the field of psychiatric research with Dr. Garcia. During the eleven years spent working in research as a psychometric rater and patient advocate, he earned his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in 2015, and his state license to practice under supervision. He currently counsels adults, teens, and couples, using evidence-based techniques to promote insight and growth.
