Meet Our Clinical Team

 Dr. Garcia is a board-certified psychiatrist and licensed physician with over 25 years of experience. He is known for his comprehensive approach to evaluation and treatment, considering biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors to better understand his patients.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Rice University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and his residency in General Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern.

Since moving to Austin in 2003, he has divided his time between private practice and medical research.

Mr. Huebner earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. He worked eight years as a caseworker and crisis counselor for Travis County MHMR (now Austin Integral Care) before transitioning to psychiatric research in 2005. 

He earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in 2015 and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. In addition to his roles as Clinical Research Manager and Primary Psychometrician with Austin Clinical Trial Partners, Mr. Huebner provides counseling services for adults, teens, and couples, utilizing evidence-based techniques to foster insight and personal growth.

Ms. Brinkmann has a combined 22 years of experience in primary and specialty care. After years of working with clients with chronic conditions, she returned to the area of health care science that she has always been most excited about, research. She finds it both exciting and hopeful to work in an environment that exposes and tests the cutting edge of healthcare science, and enjoys meeting  and working with the people who make it possible, our clinical trial participants. Along with her career as a nurse practitioner, she enjoys hiking, sailing, yoga, and traveling. She and her husband grew a family with three children in Austin, Texas and now live as empty nesters with their 2 dogs Zeke and Molly, and their cat Zed.

Leila Adell is a compassionate physician assistant (PA) with four years of experience and a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry. She graduated from Duke University’s PA program with honors and worked in outpatient psychiatry for two years before transitioning to working in clinical trials. Leila works to provide comprehensive, patient-centered mental healthcare to people from all walks of life. She is a lifelong runner and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling at St. Edward’s University.
